At Patient Glass, we are committed to providing high-quality Pyrex glassware, medical glassware, and specialty glass products to our wholesale customers. As a trusted wholesaler in New Zealand, we ensure our products meet rigorous standards for durability and performance. Below, you’ll find detailed warranty information and answers to common questions, designed to support your business needs while complying with New Zealand regulations.
Patient Glass offers a warranty on all our products, including Pyrex laboratory glassware, medical glassware (future ventures), and vaporiser bubblers, to cover manufacturing defects. This warranty is provided in accordance with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) and Fair Trading Act (FTA), which outline the rights and responsibilities of businesses supplying goods. As a wholesaler, we supply products for business use and resale, and our warranty reflects this context.
Duration: Our standard warranty period is 3 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified in your wholesale agreement.
Coverage: The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use. This includes cracks, faults, or failures due to manufacturing issues in our Pyrex glassware, medical glassware, or other specialty glass products.
Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, improper handling, accidental breakage, or normal wear and tear. Products used outside their intended purpose (e.g., Pyrex glassware exposed to extreme thermal shock beyond recommended limits) are not covered.
To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
Contact Us: Reach out to our wholesale support team at hello@patientglass.co.nz with your order number and a description of the issue.
Provide Evidence: Submit photos or a brief explanation of the defect. For Pyrex or medical glassware, include details of how the product was used.
Return Process: If approved, we will provide instructions for returning the defective item. Shipping costs for valid claims will be covered by Patient Glass.
Resolution: Upon inspection, we will repair, replace, or refund the product at our discretion, in line with CGA guidelines. Please note that all claims must be made within the warranty period and accompanied by proof of purchase.
We supply a range of high-quality glassware to wholesalers, including:
Pyrex Glassware: Durable, heat-resistant borosilicate glass for laboratory and industrial use.
Medical Glassware: Precision-crafted glass for healthcare and research applications.
Specialty Glass Products: Including bubblers for vaporisers, designed for specific technical purposes. All products are backed by our warranty against manufacturing defects.
Under the CGA, goods supplied to businesses for resale or internal use must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and free from defects at the time of supply. As a wholesaler, Patient Glass ensures compliance with these standards. However, the CGA does not apply to end consumers purchasing from your retail business—those obligations fall to the retailer.
If your shipment of Pyrex glassware (e.g., beakers, flasks, or containers) arrives damaged due to transit, please notify us within 7 days of delivery. This is considered a delivery defect rather than a warranty issue, and we will replace the affected items at no cost, provided evidence is submitted.
Yes, our specialty glass bubblers for vaporisers are covered under the same 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects. Damage caused by improper cleaning, excessive force, or use beyond their technical specifications is not covered.
If the product is free from defects but unsuitable for your intended purpose (e.g., a specific medical application), returns may be accepted at our discretion within 14 days, provided the item is unused and in original packaging.
This is separate from warranty claims and subject to a restocking fee.

Our packaging and documentation meet all relevant regulations to facilitate smooth importation for wholesale clients.
If a product, such as Pyrex glassware or a medical glass item, fails after the 12-month warranty due to a latent defect, we may still assist under the Fair Trading Act if the failure is proven to stem from a manufacturing issue present at the time of supply. Contact us to discuss your case.
